Concrete Cleaning, Sealing, Epoxy & Resurfacing
This guide explains our starting prices, inclusions, finish options and preparation requirements for concrete cleaning, sealing, epoxy flooring and concrete resurfacing. It is designed to help you compare options and understand what may be required before requesting an online estimate.
Our pricing reflects the preparation, products and application process required to complete the job properly. Cheaper prices are often possible when preparation is skipped, lower-grade products are used, or warranty support is not included. Nupave focuses on doing the work properly so the finished surface looks better, lasts longer and can be backed by our workmanship warranty.
Concrete Resurfacing Prices & Inclusions
Concrete resurfacing prices can vary depending on the condition of the existing concrete, the finish selected, whether grinding is required, and the size of the area.
The prices below are a guide only. Final estimates are based on the approximate size of the driveway or concrete area, site condition, preparation required and the selected finish.
Exposed Aggregate Concrete Resurfacing
Exposed aggregate resurfacing is designed to give old concrete the look of exposed aggregate without removing and replacing the slab.
Approximate pricing
Without grinding: $60–$65 per m²
With grinding required: $78–$90 per m²
Minimum $2,400
Grinding is usually required when there is an existing coating, failed sealer, poor previous resurfacing, contamination, or a surface that needs to be taken back to a more suitable concrete base before resurfacing.
What’s Included
For exposed aggregate concrete resurfacing, our standard process generally includes:
Existing surface assessed before works begin
Area ground where required to remove previous coatings and get back to a suitable concrete surface
High pressure cleaning to remove surface contaminants
Minor patching where required
One coat of primer applied
Two spray coats of the selected base colour
Two fleck colours applied to create the exposed aggregate look
Two coats of premium concrete sealer applied for protection
Concrete Resurfacing Finish Options
Approximate starting prices
Click links below to see each finish:
Single colour resurfacing: $55–$60 per m²
Exposed aggregate look resurfacing: $60–$65 per m²
Cut stone resurfacing: $65–$70 per m²
Stencil resurfacing: $90–$100 per m²
Slate impression resurfacing: $100–$110 per m²
Timbercrete / timber-look resurfacing: $110–$120 per m²
These prices are starting guides only and assume the existing concrete is suitable for resurfacing.
Grinding Costs
Concrete grinding can range from $16.50–$25+ per m², depending on the coating, surface condition, access and how much material needs to be removed.
Grinding may be required when:
There is an existing coating or failed sealer
The surface has contamination that pressure washing will not remove
The concrete is uneven, slippery or poorly prepared
A previous resurfacing system needs to be removed
The slab needs stronger mechanical preparation before new coatings are applied

Epoxy Garage Flooring Prices & Inclusions
Epoxy flooring is a durable coating system for garage floors, workshops and internal concrete areas. Pricing depends on the size of the garage, the condition of the concrete, the coating system selected and how much preparation or patching is required.
Approximate pricing
Single colour epoxy: from $50 per m²
Stippled stone epoxy: from $70 per m²
Flake epoxy flooring: from $85 per m²
Metallic epoxy flooring: from $140 per m²
Minimum charges
Single colour epoxy: from $1,800
Flake epoxy flooring: from $3,000
Minimum charges apply because garage floors still require setup, grinding, patching, coating time, return coats and curing time, even when the area is small.
What’s Included
Our epoxy garage flooring process generally includes:
Diamond grinding of the concrete surface
Minor patching where required
Two coats of epoxy coating
For flake epoxy flooring, the process also includes:
One broadcast/dissemination of decorative flake
Two coats of urethane/top coat for added protection
Important Epoxy Flooring Notes
The concrete must be suitable for coating. Additional preparation may be required if the floor has oil contamination, moisture issues, existing coatings, failed paint, heavy cracks, uneven concrete or soft/weak surface areas.
Epoxy flooring prices are starting guides only. Final pricing depends on the condition of the floor, access, preparation required and the finish selected.
Concrete Sealing Prices & Inclusions
Concrete sealing helps protect existing concrete, exposed aggregate, coloured concrete and resurfaced areas from weathering, wear, staining and general surface breakdown.
Pricing depends on the surface condition, sealer type, access, size of the area and whether extra preparation is required.
Approximate pricing
Clear exposed aggregate sealing: from $25 per m²
Colour sealing: from $30 per m²
Minimum charge: from $1,200
What’s Included
Our standard concrete sealing process generally includes:
High pressure cleaning of the surface
Surface preparation before sealing
Two coats of concrete sealer
Important Sealing Notes
The surface must be suitable for sealing. Extra preparation may be required if the concrete has failed sealer, heavy staining, oil contamination, peeling coatings, slippery sealer build-up, moisture issues or areas that require grinding.
Clear sealing is commonly used for exposed aggregate and existing decorative concrete where the original finish is being protected or refreshed.
Colour sealing is used when the surface needs a fresh coloured finish, stronger visual improvement or a more uniform appearance.
Concrete sealing prices are starting guides only. Final pricing depends on the concrete condition, preparation required, previous coatings and the finish selected.
High Pressure Cleaning Prices & Inclusions
High pressure cleaning is used to clean concrete driveways, paths, patios, exposed aggregate, paved areas and other hard surfaces before sealing, resurfacing or general maintenance.
Approximate pricing
High pressure cleaning: from $5 per m²
Minimum charge: from $150
Pricing depends on the size of the area, access, water availability, drainage, surface condition and the level of staining or contamination.
What’s Included
Our standard high pressure cleaning process generally includes:
High pressure cleaning of the concrete surface
Use of a suitable detergent or cleaning solution where required
General removal of dirt, grime, mould, algae and surface build-up
Final rinse down of the cleaned area
Important Pressure Cleaning Notes
High pressure cleaning is designed for general surface cleaning. Some stains may not fully remove with pressure cleaning alone.
Additional treatment may be required for:
Oil stains
Rust stains
Paint
Sealer removal
Deep tyre marks
Heavy mould or algae
Efflorescence
Failed coatings
Chewing gum or adhesive residue
If the surface needs chemical treatment, grinding or coating removal, this would be priced separately.
